- What are the benefits of orthodontic treatment? Orthodontic treatment not only improves the alignment of your teeth and bite but also enhances oral health, making it easier to maintain good hygiene and preventing issues like gum disease.
- What types of orthodontic treatments do you offer? We offer a range of treatments including traditional braces, clear aligners like Invisalign®, and specialized appliances tailored to each patient’s needs.
- How long does orthodontic treatment take? Treatment duration varies depending on the complexity of the case and the type of treatment. Typically, it can range from several months to a few years.
- Are orthodontic treatments painful? While there may be some discomfort initially and after adjustments, modern techniques have minimized discomfort compared to older methods. Over-the-counter pain relievers can help manage any discomfort.
- How often will I need to visit the orthodontist? You’ll typically need to visit every 4 to 8 weeks for adjustments, depending on your treatment plan and progress.
- Can adults benefit from orthodontic treatment? Absolutely! Orthodontic treatment can improve the alignment of teeth at any age, enhancing both oral health and confidence.
- How can I maintain my oral hygiene during orthodontic treatment? It’s essential to brush and floss regularly, using special techniques and tools recommended by your orthodontist to clean around braces or aligners effectively.
- Will my dental insurance cover orthodontic treatment? Coverage varies by insurance plan, but many plans offer at least partial coverage for orthodontic treatment. We can help you understand your insurance benefits and payment options.
- Will My Braces Interfere with Activities? Speech, School Activities, Sports, Playing An Instrument, Singing – are these a problem? Initially it may require some adjustment when you first get your braces, but wearing braces will not stop you from participating in most activities. If you play a contact sport, it is recommended that you wear a mouthguard to protect your braces or appliance.
